Different situation, Florida is a team that looks to save money where they can.
So they're going to save money by trading a young power center who is an RFA and therefore a controlled asset... and an FA they signed to the contract he has and is tied for the team lead in goals points... oh and a 2nd rounder who costs no money...

Kuba is the only one of them who would be traded to "save money"... but they will not trade their leading scorer, a pick and a great young C just to dump the one year he has left...

What you are proposing is akin to Oilers wanting to dump N. Schultz's $3.5M... so they trade Paajarvi, Hemsky and a 2nd to do it.

Can we consider the needs of other teams before we make trade proposals please...

Granted the prosposal might not be reality, it's not like we'd have to give 2 1sts, Prv, and Klefbom for those guys.
