I don't think intimidation is partcularly relevant come playoff time. Of the guys you mentioned, it's highly unlikely that Orr or Thornton see all that much playoff playing time. Going shorthanded can be deadly in games that are invariably tight and low-scoring.

Grit and physicality, yes. Intimidation, no.
