I think this is a fair point, but I also think it is what is missing from today's teams. Our team should not hope to win every game, they should EXPECT to win every game. Today's NHL might certainly be different, but to be an elite team, you have to have a certain amount of swagger.

This franchise used to pride itself on how dominant it was perceived to be, and more often than not, they backed that up with their play on the ice. There were no excuses for lack of effort, or poor results, and just because the league has changed that doesn't mean the player's mentality should with it. Losing is absolutely unacceptable and this franchise needs to get that killer instinct back.
