Bull. The track record for this type of acquistion in team results is very poor. I very much doubt that the Sharks are an exception. They have a problem with speed of play and breakouts. Kessel will not fix that. And the Sharks would take a hit for his lack of defensive play.

The reality of purchasing "proven" goal scorers is that the team generally funnels the puck to the proven guy to the detriment of everyone else. The acquisition gets his goals but the goal totals of the teams generally suffer. For a recent example, look at the Rangers and Nash.
