The reality of purchasing "proven" goal scorers is that the team generally funnels the puck to the proven guy to the detriment of everyone else. The acquisition gets his goals but the goal totals of the teams generally suffer. For a recent example, look at the Rangers and Nash.
Nash is more of a Thornton type player (when Joe used to attack the net), very different than Kessel.
