He is more of a "hockey guy" than Feaster...I dont think either is bad, Feaster is great at the signing and salary management aspect, but he has made some deft trades so far.
I think Weisbrod was brought in to help remedy that issue.
He was the player personnel guy in Boston that had a hand in building that team according to Chiarelli (who knows if he was just talkign up an old colleague).
There's an interview from last summer with Feaster talking about how he's not a 'hockey guy' and that he tries to lean on Goulet and Weisbrod as much as possible to formulate opinions. Management by committee.
I just think after the ROR fiasco (and especially given how big a trade this is for the franchise) that this stuff will run through Weisbrod and the guys upstairs.
They might still screw this up but I feel better knowing that this isn't going to be a Phaneuf-esque scenario in terms of how the deal is being conducted.
