The experience really helped Hagelin the season before he went pro. Let him get a feel for the North American game.
And hopefully they don't bring him back. I think Fasth definietly must be very border line to actually make the final WCH's team.
The problem is that the WCH's is played in Sweden this year, and with the lockout -- with nobody having a clue who actually will make the PO's or not, with there only being a week between the regular seasons end and the start of the WCH's, with many players spending alot of their precious days in Sweden from a tax point of view (they are taxed in Sweden if they stay here for more than half the year (186 days), and many spent the entire fall in Sweden) -- Mårts probably don't have much of a clue what team he will ice.
But like no matter what, Fasth was not a core player in the last EHL tournament he played in. He is not in his best shape. He is just a year of coming of a broken leg and has had some other problems all year. If Sweden gets just 4 wingers from the NHL, I just can't see Fasth being one of the 4 wingers from Europe that actually makes the team.
With Järnkrok and Söderberg its a bit diffrent. They have better odds of making it.
