Smid will not be traded unless he's indicated to the management, he intends to test free agency, in which case they would be wise to move him for the best package available.

Smyth's experience could have been invaluable to any play-off team, but I can't imagine they can trade him with an extra year attached to his contract (Thank you, Steve Tambellini!)

Ditto for Belanger.

Petrell, Potter, Peckham are simply not NHL players--nobody will give up even a late round pick for any of them.

So that realistically leaves Hemsky, Whitney, Jones and Gagner.

Whitney should be able to fetch a return similar to Douglas Murray (2nd rounder or an equivalent prospect).
Jones--no more than 3rd round pick.

Hemsky and Gagner should hold good value for teams looking for secondary scoring. Hopefully, if these guys get moved, we get some real NHL players that meet team's needs.
