If the guy is an UFA and Resign has passed and he has not accepted the offer, or you simply didnt make him an offer he will go as a Free Agent July 1st.

You can also opt to not resign your RFA's, im really not to sure what happens here because I have never let it come to that. But as far as I know, they cant be used, and other GMs can tender offers on them.

Hope this helps.
Every time I've given a RFA a qualifying offer, they usually sign with me the next day. So I thought I'd leave him until Free Agency started, so I could trade him to St.Louis so he could sign him. I didn't know he'd become a UFA if I didn't give qualifying offer.

Now I know guys, thanks!

Do you guys remember in 07 where you could sign a player any time of the year? I wish that back.

I really need make a trade here. Tanguay (81), Lantendresse (80), K. Palmieri (77), Kropp (79) (defensmen) are available. My roster is messed up badly.
