In 1970 I worked at the first Jack south of the Mason-Dixon line in No. Virginia.

You could not get any Mexican food in Virginia in 1970. Tortillas came in cans, huh?. I had a major jones for comida mexicano goin on for about 6 mos. Then I found the Jack. I woulda worked for tacos. As it was I making $1.05 an hour, then I was promoted to night supervisor @ $1.10 an hour.
The company actually flew all our tacos from SD.
I spent half my time explaining what a taco was to customers, especially from the Carolina.

Last summer I was visiting and my brother said Jacks is gone from Virginia.
