Let's remember that if you treat your veteran players like crap you will lower team moral, and no free agent in their right mind will want to ever play here, so let's not get to crazy about all the 'rookies taking veterans job' stuff.

Granted if one of the vets plays like crap, I'm sure management will take the appropriate action, but a sub-par training camp isn't the end of the line for most veteran players.

What Carbo is saying is he wants the rookies coming in with a fire under their ***. If they don't, they will guarentee themselves NOT to make the team.
