This essentially the same team we've had, why do people expect different results? Playoff time will be a MAJOR challenge especially the way interference has already crept back into the league.
Taking the opportunity to single out Bolland (again) when most of the team was asleep is a stretch. Saad has been good overall but needs to simplify his game and avoid trying to make the extra play (and turning it over as a result – his rookie mistakes have cost us lately, but better to get them out of the way now and learn from them). I also thought Hayes was one of our better players on a bad night. Shaw was obviously under the weather and it affected the entire 3rd line. Why we don’t have at least one other RFD forward up here is beyond me. Crawford was Crawford, 2 softies and lots of rebounds all night long, JO was JO, our board play was typical and our PP … well .. it was painful to watch. Hopefully Stan was watching.
And speaking of interference, the calls haven’t just crept out. They’ve inexplicably stopped calling them altogether and it is hurting this team badly.
On the upside, Jonny was great, if we’re going to slump, do it now and best of all, we play again tonight. Put this one behind us.
