Save the advanced statistics for your fantasy draft. If AS were the end all be all, Adam Dunn, the best pure home run hitter in baseball, would be considered a lock for the HOF with two more years of similar production.
You do know this, correct? The fact that Rio's turned the corner under the watchful eye of Kenny Williams instead of toiling away his talents for a team with no chance at winning their own division doesn't diminish his impact while as a member of the White Sox.
The Jays have their own problems. Alex Rios sure wasn't one of them.
