We are two thirds of way through the season and Crosby (39 assists) is close to matching the number two leading scorer's (Stamkos 43 points) point total on assists alone.
The last time this was even close to happening was in 1990-91 when Gretzky had 122 points and the 2nd place leading scorer (Brett Hull) had 131 points.
Crosby's statistical dominance should be noted. It should really be treasured a lot more than it is, considering that his career looked to be possibly threatened mere months ago.
