He's 22 and he has 25 points in 32 games. He's tied 11th for points by a center.

There's still room for more development, he's not going to be in his offensive prime until he's 25-27ish. He certainly looks like a 1C, and has been progressing and improving each year he's been in the NHL. What other teams have a young, 2-way center like Stepan? Not many. That's another facet of Stepan's game that is overlooked. He's a very good defensive player, and an excellent PKer. He's always creating chances shorthanded.

He's been the #1 center this season. He plays in every situation, and he puts up points. He still has to prove it by keeping up his play, but I see no signs of him faltering or regressing.
