Rumbling two-way forward/offensive defenceman (with reliable back-end skills). okay speed for a "big guy", but I was severely undersized for my position and playstyle (5'9, was always one of the smallest on the team) despite a wide build (over 200 lbs. for my last 3 seasons of minor-league play before I quit). A slow version of M-A-Bergeron, or a guy with more offencive-upside than Staois, but still defensively reliable.
I played just about every position at one point (winger and d-man were where I was predominantly used), and was able to swap onto the o-line in a pinch. I had a great slapshot, decent wristshot, and was able to lay out people twice my size. As a result, it didn't matter the team or level, I ate up a fair number of minutes.
Other than my lack of height, I lacked stickhandling skills (stone wrists for the win) and my backwards skating sucked, despite playing defence quite often (I compensated, but that was no excuse for it being a lot weaker than everything else).
