I honestly don't think outside of Dumervil, any of our DE's were worth even talking about. They were all pretty bad. And run-wise, Dumervil was right there with them.

This is from advanced stats. The WPA is pretty much the equivalent to WAR in baseball - how valuable the player was.

The TF is tackle factor - the ratio of how many tackles a guy makes from his position that is "expected" (and it's adjusted for 4-3 or 3-4 i.e. in a 3-4 the LB's should be making all the tackles).

Ayers was pretty clearly the 3rd best DE on this team looking at advanced stats.

I'm not sold on the idea of Del Rio hating him though. I'm hoping Del Rio sees him as a project, because the guy does have a good frame for being a solid DE. He just needs a lot of work to improve.
