People get too caught up in numbering the lines. Kadri, for instance, is Toronto's #2 centre, but he plays the easiest minutes of the top 3. He's allowed a role that he can handle because Grabovski does all the heavy lifting defensively and Bozak plays on a top line that takes away all the attention. Schroeder at his best could do the same kind of thing imo, unfortunately he's been much too inconsistent (which is to be expected) to rely on that going into the playoffs.

Still rather hope and prey with Schroeder than get a 3rd line checker and hope Kesler can score.
