Beaulieu reminds me of Mathieu Schnider when he first broke into the league. Pateryn on the other hand skates very well and smart moving the puck. His shooting and offensive ability are limited. Pateryn is a positional player and you rarely see him out of position. He's a better skating Josh Gorges in my mind.
Pateryn's skating is no way close to Gorges.
