That's a 14 pick jump in the first round and a 64 pick jump in the 2nd round for an 88 pick jump in the late 4th. In other words 78 picks now for 88 more than two rounds later.

Here is how I see it from the perspective of the players...

Kelly: High-end #1 Dman
Reardon: Average #2 Dman

Lindsay: Elite 1st line LW
Mahovlich: High-end 1st line LW (the very next LW taken in the draft)

Savard: Above-average #2 Center
Keats: Low-end #2 Center

No way a big upgrade at 2nd line center is equivalent to a huge upgrade at #1 Dman with just a small 1st line forward upgrade thrown in.
Oh wait, he just did the job I wanted to do way better than I could have. Good work HT. Yeah this is a veto from my perspective.
