No, it ended up being Samuelsson. Brunner was a longshot pickup by Holland on Babcock's request because he liked him.
Regardless, Brunner has been playing with Zetterberg all season and has fewer points in more games. Hudler has been Calgary's best forward this season - including the since-traded Iginla. And Filppula obviously is not scoring much at all. The funny thing is that if you take Nyquist and Filppula's combined PPG, over Hudler's 30 games, they only outscore him by 0.59 points. Despite playing a combined average 30:10 per game, including 5:07 on the PP.
And going back to Brunner... how well would Hudler be doing on Z's wing right now? Hudler has had much less to play with; Matt Stajan, Roman Cervenka, Mikael Backlund, Blake Comeau, I mean really?
