From a Leafs' standpoint, he is expendable. With Komarov returning, I can see us rolling a line of Komarov-Grabo-Frattin, instead of Macarthur-Grabo-Frattin. Although Komarov doesn't bring as much offensively, he brings a better defensive and physical game. If we're getting a 1st in return, that's a downgrade I am willing to make.
actually, this doesn't make a lot of sense because Macarthur isn't very good and doesn't have first round value....which doesn't even take into consideration he is an impending UFA, which goes against the reported information which was the CBJ would be willing to deal a first for a player with term who could help the playoff push and be a part of the team going forward.
