Since they're all over the map, nothing Dallas does at the deadline would surprise me.
Bring in veterans to help the worst pp in the NHL in 40 years. Get rid of veterans who were not good enough to build a playoff team around anymore. 40 year old wingers who scored 70 pts last year and lead the team in pts this year respectively can maybe teach younger wingers a thing or two about the NHL. Ryder for Cole was a mistake, but they weren't going to give Ryder the contract he wanted. Morrow doesn't fit on this team any more, so trading him makes a ton of sense, especially if you aren't convinced that this is a playoff team.
All over the map, no. Rebuild, yes. The hope is that signing experienced guys who have won before rubs off on guys like Dillon, Eakin, and Smith this year and Oleksiak, Nemeth, and Chiasson next year.
