That made football so much more attacking.

At the moment a win and a loss = 2 points
2 ties = 2 points

with 3 points for a win

A win and a loss = 3 points
2 ties = 2 points

Im sure everyone can see that teams would be much more attacking when they are tied if 3 points were awarded for a win but only award 2 for a win in OT. That way teams will still be rewarded for a win in regulation while they still will be able to get an extra point for scoring in OT. There would be none of this settling for a tie with 10 minutes to go.

My points system would be:
3 points for a regulation win
2 points for an OT win
1 for a tie or OT loss
0 points for a 0-0 tie
