The "loophole" doesn't apply to Kristo, it applies to Mac Bennett this off-season and next year it will apply to Mark MacMillan. The only thing I heard was that the league wanted to do something about it but the players wanted it stay this way.

The loophole only applies to NCAA players that don't go directly to the NCAA, so not all NCAA players are subject to the loophole. As an example current Hab draft picks in the NCAA like Walsh, Cichy and Didier would not be able to use the loophole since they went directly to the NCAA after being drafted. Bennett, MacMillan and Sullivan all can use this loophole because they didn't go to the NCAA directly after being drafted.
