Derek Brassard as always been a big disappointement in Columbus. His best season is 47 points... That's hardly worth top 6 minutes. Ryan Johansen will take his ice time.

I think it's really a great hockey deal for both teams as the Rangers needed depth. Gaborik will bounce back in Columbus with decent ice time. He was used poorly by Tortorella...
I don't agree with your assessment of Dorsett, but I do agree with your assessment of the deal. It is a good hockey deal for both team. The Rangers got the depth they needed and the Jackets got the elite scoring they needed to make a push. It is a win for both clubs. As a Jackets fan, I like this deal because GMJK was able to acquire Gaborik without giving up any of the 3 first round picks. This deal keeps the current season interesting and makes the future more bright.

Both teams looked a lot better after the deal. Kudos to both GMs.
