I disagree. Its a hockey play and these types of hits happen from time to time. DZ is bracing for someone to hit him from behind and his instinct is to protect himseld by uaing his arms to absorb the hit. The fact that he hits him straight in the face is accidental, and hence why there was no penalty call on the play.
I do agree that he will get a call from the league today, and will be told to not be so wreckless or else...
BTW, It does make a difference (it shouldn't) if its the Pens or Panthers, because against the Pens, that call from the league is made much sooner.
