Euhh ? Good draft, yeah, but better no !

1979
27 D Gaston Gingras
37 F Mats Naslund
43 D Craig Levie
44 C Guy Carbonneau
58 G Rick Wamsley
79 L Dave Orleski
100 R Yvan Joly
121 G Greg Moffett

Naslund was one of the best player of the team in that era. Carbonneau everybody knows was a amazing 2-way. Gaston Gingras was a good defence. That guy love the game of hockey he did a return in 98-99 for play in ECHL at 40, got great NHL career with habs and Leafs... Too bad he was injury prone.

1984
5 D Petr Svoboda
8 L Shayne Corson
29 L Stephane Richer
51 G Patrick Roy
54 R Graeme Bonar
65 Lee Brodeur
95 Gerry Johannson
116 C Jim Nesich
137 D Scott MacTavish
158 C Brad McCaughey
179 Eric Demers
199 D Ron Annear
220 David Tanner
240 G Troy Crosby

Did I got to say something about that ? Everybody know about Patrick Roy, Stephane Richer with two 50 goals season, five time 30 goals and twelve time 20 goals. Svoboda was very good when he was playinf for Montreal. First era of Corson in Montreal was great, he was good player.

1987
17 C Andrew Cassels
33 L John LeClair
38 D Eric Desjardins
44 D Mathieu Schneider
58 G Francois Gravel
80 D Kris Miller
101 Steve McCool
122 G Les Kuntar
143 L Robert Kelley
164 Will Geist
185 Eric Tremblay
206 D Barry McKinlay
227 R Ed Ronan
248 Bryan Herring

Andre Cassels, LeClair who another 50 goals dude, Dejardins awesome defence, Scheinder still got a great offensive production.

1998
16 C Eric Chouinard
45 C Mike Ribeiro
75 D Francois Beauchemin
132 R Andre Bashkirov
152 L Gordie Dwyer
162 . Andrei Markov
189 D Andrei Kruchinin
201 L Craig Murray
216 L Michael Ryder
247 R Darcy Harris

Yeah the first rounder suck, but Ribeiro hit 65 and 51 pts last 2 seasons, Beauchemin did very well at Anaheim, Andrei Markov is our #1 d-man and a very very good one, Michael Ryder made 55 goals in 2 seasons, another great late pick.

2001
7 D Mike Komisarek
25 R Alexander Perezhogin
37 W Duncan Milroy
71 C Tomas Plekanec
109 D Martti Jarventie
171 C Eric Himelfarb
203 D Andrew Archer
266 W Viktor Ujcik

I don't know for you guy but, Komisarek seems to be a futur solid #2 d-man, shutdown already, may be a little upside offensive but, he's already good on pressure. Plekanec value is high, he can play the second line, but he's a great PK players and got decent offensive skillz. Same as Perezhogin.

So after may be your 2005 come close...
