Stay on the ice for an extra hour after practice shooting the puck. Do it multiple times a week. Eventually, you will learn how to shoot accurately and even harder than 98 mph.
This is no different than learning free throws in basketball.
If Moore learns how to fire 100 mph accurate shots, he will be a first pair defenseman considering his other skills. A guy who can play good defense, transport the puck up the ice and be a danger from the blue line is a first pair blue liner.
Or Moore can be lazy and remain a #6 defenseman.
That's why I'm all against trading DZ, as well. His shot too isn't accurate, but pretty heavy. Make him practice and it will improve.
