Orpik and Glass would not need to be bought out. Glass is on a reasonable deal next year and would likely catch a late rounder if shopped...there's always more teams looking for 4th line depth in the off-season than there is actual 4th line depth available. Orpik still has a good amount of trade value, there's no way you buy out a guy who can receive an asset in return.
1.1m when the cap is 64m is not a solid deal for a 4th liner with no hockey skills.
and yeah, orpik will def be traded this offseason. what kind of return can we expect?
