Basically this. If McD gets offered crazy money, lets say 5 to 5.5 over 5 or 6 years, then compares it to what Sather has been handing out to DZ and Staal, that's a very tough offer to reject.
Suter indicated he liked it in NSH. What are players supposed to say, anyway? "NY is a dump and I wanna get out of here asap."? Also, their managers certainly are a factor. All in all, the whole process is just not that simple.
Note: I'm 100% confident, we will resign our RFAs. I just don't want to underestimate other teams.
