This offseason is going to see a lot of teams looking to clear cap space, and Thornton makes $7m. This thread was started by a Canucks fan... who proposed Jensen & Kassian, with no plan for actually making that cap space... that would be step 1.
When you consider the fact that
he's 32 years old
, there's very few teams with cap space, that will have the appetite to trade for him. You also have to consider what the Sharks want to do -- a full rebuild, or retool. If it's the former, they'll be best served waiting for the deadline.
33 and will turn 34 before next season starts.
