We have one of those places we call "the restaurant" because the word "restaurant" is on the sloping roof as seen from Saratoga Ave. It's actually called "Bill of Fare".

Of course, if you want to expensive, there's a Morton's Steakhouse and Scott's Seafood on Park Ave/Almaden-ish near the courthouse. Pizza Chicago isn't too bad for deep dish on San Fernando/San Pedro(?).
Bill of fare is good but they don't really do rare. You order medium rare and it comes medium well.
