Regardless of individual players not playing up to their caliber, etc.. is it possible to come from a 1, 2 goal deficit in Torts' system if the other team doesn't make mistakes? The grinding, dump and chase, bang along the boards game is great and all - in the playoffs. But in the regular season is that type of game sustainable as the norm? Where any lapse by your team puts you in a hole whereby you are playing not to lose ( ie: "playing and trusting in our game" ) and waiting for the opposing team to make a mistake?
Obviously I'm not an NHL coach but it seems like we're coached not to lose ( which I've seen said elsewhere on these forums ). How/can Torts coach them to win?
