Hockey can be about matchups, and to be quite honest, next to the Rangers, Washington is the team that scares me most. They're a horrible matchup for the B's because they have so much high-end offensive talent that they're usually going to score 3 goals a game, and they're buying into what Oates is doing.

The B's have long periods where they simply don't score ... like, well, much of the last month save the game where Carolina forgot how to defend the wraparound for a period. A high-end, speedy offensive-minded team is the B's biggest issue. Washington has just enough on the back end and in net to stay competitive against the B's.

NYR ... other way around. They block a ton of shots and every game goes to 1 goal.

I think the Bruins are, next to Pittsburgh, the best team in the east. But no team in the salary cap era is going to be perfect. Every team has a weakness, and teams they match up better than then others.
