2007 2nd Overall pick: Kevin Durant
2008 4th Overall pick: Russell Westbrook
2009 3rd Overall pick: James Harden
I realize they don't have Harden anymore but after getting 3 straight top 5 picks they're now finishing around the top of the West and they show no signs of slowing down.
EDIT: I just remembered the Sixers drafted Evan Turner 2nd overall.
So if they get any top 5 picks in the future hopefully they pick the right player. Evan can be a good player but I think he's rather inconsistent.
Yeah, Evan Turner isn't gonna be a superstar, let alone an all-star. The one year we get the 2nd overall pick is one of the weakest drafts for the NBA.
In OKC's case it also takes a little luck with how deep a draft is and good scouting/talent evalution.
