The transition from juniors to the NHL is not an easy thing. Very few players do it without a significant stint in the AHL. Add in the fact that Galchenyuk lost a full year due to knee injury and the transition would seemingly take a bit more time.
The Canadiens management is taking a much longer view of Galchenyuk's career than a 3 game losing streak-based perspective. The kid is getting his feet wet, succeeding, and gaining the exposure he needs at his age.
Thank goodness that the only direct fan input in Montreal is in the meaningless 3 star selections.
Yes, I'm sure if we put Galchenyuk on the PP while DD continues to be useless that Galchenyuk's development will stall and he will become a Daigle-esque bust.
