Factor in that next year's lineup likely features FF and whomever we pick in the first round this season. Any one of Drouin\Mackinnon\Barkov\Lindholm is likely NHL ready.
Elias put up 78 points last season at 36 and is on pace for ~60 this year in a full season despite the Devils being pretty mediocre. I'd definitely throw him a Semin-like deal for 1-2 years and see what happens. With all the youth we are using at forward, I think having another solid veteran would work well. The Oilers ice a ton of young, talented forwards and it doesn't really work too well.
This is all a pipedream though as I doubt he leaves NJD, and if he does, I doubt NSH is a preferred destination.
More realistically, I'm on board with the Clowe / Stalberg train. Stalberg has to be one of the fastest skaters in the NHL; he might actually work in our dump and chase system.
I like Vinny Prospal a lot as well; not super high end talent, but he is pretty solid. I'd like to replace SK with him.
