Rangers get: Hamrlik, 1st rounder, 3rd rounder

Rangers get a stay-at-home defenseman who can play with Leetch. And two draft picks can add depth for the future. Also rid themselves of a defensive liability (Poti) and an underachieving forward who most likely wont be back after this season anyway.

Isles get a top line scorer to soothe the absence of Yashin. Sure theyre playing well now, but if theyre really serious about making noise in the playoffs, more scoring has to be added to their lineup. Plus Poti can come in and help out their PP and rush the puck up ice. Milbury was very interested in Poti two years ago, which is one of the reasons Sather traded for him.

Bash away!
I would do it, but the two teams would never make a deal like that. God forbid that first liner turned into a very good player the Isles would never hear the end of it. The Rangers would probably do it, but should something happen they would probably be skeptical cuz they'd look like fools and Milbury would never stop talkin bout it.
