With the 25th overall selection in the 2013 NHL Entry Draft, the Vancouver Canucks are very pleased to select from MODO in Swedish League Elitserien, Defenseman Robert Hägg

Going to try and draft as realistically as possible this year for the Canucks, I've usually gone BPA the last couple of years but I'll try and think like the scouting staff of the team. Hägg seems like a good fit on the blueline, and projects to be in the mold of Alexander Edler, who is a big piece of the Canucks. Usually they'll grab a falling offensive player but there doesn't seem to be any this time around
