That's exactly like the Kings last year.

Detroit is going to be interesting going forward.

They are getting to be older, however they did play with 6 EL contracts this year. Leafs played with 4, and both teams had a Euro vet on a EL.

DeKeyser has looked good for them.

Wings and Leafs have Filppulla and Bozak to sign. Both important players for their respective teams.

Leafs have 12 players under contract with 19 million in space.
Wings have 19 players under contract with 11 million in space.

Leafs have a couple buy-out candidates, not sure about the Wings.

Wings and Leafs will be competing against each other next year. Travel will be greatly improved for the older Wings which might help their geriatrics.


The New York Rangers are the most valuable NHL franchise at $1.2 billion, taking the top spot on the Forbes list for the first time since 2004.

The magazine said Tuesday that Montreal is second at $1.18 billion, followed by Toronto at $1.15 billion.
