It didn't follow him to Buffalo, truly the only time he had full autonomy in an organization.

He also was living in Buffalo full time and a bigger resource to Babcock than Holland when interviewed on the subjects of the team. His impact on front office decisions is greatly exaggerated after he retired from coaching in Detroit.

Before anyone gets bent out of shape, he is without a doubt the greatest hockey coach ever in my mind, maybe the best coach in the history of professional sports in North America.
