Kings Eyeing Pacific Division Title

The HFNHL LA Kings are looking to capture the Pacific division title for the first time since 2003-04 season

When asked for comment, starting goaltender Cam Ward said "We're really hitting our stride now. Everyone's firing on all cylinders and I don't think we're going to be slowing down any time soon."

Indeed. The Kings are up by eight points on the next highest team, the Ducks. The two teams play each other in the last game of the season in which was anticipated to be a playoff-intense matchup with season standings on the line. It now appears it will be inconsequential from an LA Kings point of view.

So the game plan with seven games to go? "Keep winning" said GM McEwan. "We're going to have more of a target this year. Last year nobody expected us to win the cup or even come out of the first round. This year there are higher expectations." Indeed.
