Now, that said, I doubt Johnson would bring Ryan Smyth back from the Oilers.

How about Johnson and a pick for Isbister? If you don't want Johnson, how about Salvador or Khavanov for Isbister?

$1.1 million isn't outrageous for a 26-year-old goalie with a solid career record and GAA, and some playoff success. And Lord knows Johnson could probably benefit from a change of scenery.
