To say switching of goalies never happens is false...didn't Philly switch from Leighton, to Boucher, back to Leighton, back to Boucher, back to Leighton in 2010?
Boucher was their starter and then got hurt in Game 5 against Boston. He stayed hurt throughout the Montreal series, in which Leighton had three shutouts, so the Flyers stuck with him through the SCF. So they switched from Boucher to Leighton because of an injury, and Leighton remained the starter for the rest of the playoffs.
Not the same at all as rotating continuously between goalies when both guys are healthy. That has never been done before in the playoffs and never will be. You name a #1 and go with him.
