1-Colorado Avalanche select Seth Jones.
-They go for need here but I also think he could be considered BPA.
2-Florida Panthers select Nathan Mackinnon.
-They pick the very best forward in this draft.
3-Tampa bay Lighting select Jonathan Drouin.
Tampa goes with the offensive dynamo and hope he can replace the Art Ross winner.
4-Nashville Predators select Sasha Barkov
Barkov and Forsberg will be the most talent Trotz worked with since joining the organization.
5-Carolina Hurricanes select Valery Nichuskin
They lend their hand on the second best offensively dynamic forward in the draft, great help.
6-Calgary Flames select Elias Lindholm
Calgary needs help upfront more than anything and Linholm is BPA.
7-Edmonton Oilers select Nikita Zadorov
The Oilers select Zadorov and it fills a need.
8-Bufallo Sabres select Ryan Pulock
They pass on Monahan to land the most dynamic Dman in this draft.
9-New Jersey Devils select Sean Monahan
They get a type of player they like and he’s a real talent.
10-Dallas Stars select Darnell Nurse
Nill praises the hockey gods that such a talent falls on his lap.
11-Philadelphia Flyers select Rasmus Ristolainen
They need help at defense, they draft BPA
12-Phoenix Coyotes select Hunter Shinkaruk
The Coyotes land one of the most dynamic players in this draft, BPA and a need.
13-Winnipeg Jets select Curtis Lazar
They pick the kind of player that will help them win down the road, big tough two-way player.
14-Colombus Blue Jackets select Valentin Zykov
Kekalainen likes big skilled forward and he gets one with the best skill set in the draft.
15-New York Islanders select Mirco Mueller
NYI adds to their already big and skilled pool of Dman with Mueller.
16-Buffalo Sabres select Adam Erne
They add to their skilled offensive squad with this gritty and talented forward.
17-Detroit Red wings select Robert Hagg
The Red wings might be up for a mini-rebuild, and they add a Dman who could turn out to be one of the best in this draft.
18-Ottawa Senators select Alex Wennberg
They keep taking all the Swedes!!!! They go BPA and Wennberg falls on their lap, can’t miss.
19-Colombus Blue Jackets select Josh Morrissey
Good offensive instinct will fit well into their prospect pool, he’s also BPA at this point.
20-San Jose Sharks select Andre Burakowsky
They draft an offensively dynamic swede that will help them in a few years.
21-Toronto Maple Leafs select Nicolas Petan
Really skilled and talented, Nic will do good to their pool that is lacking in talent in offense.

They select another big and skilled forward that could help them soon enough.
23-Colombus Blue Jackets select Max Domi
They select BPA here and they add to a need also.
24-Vancouver Canucks select Anthony Mantha
They need help everywhere and at this point, Mantha is BPA.

They select their first dman. Fits a need and he's pretty much BPA.

They lack quality defenders at the Junior level and they get the best one available.

I will post the second and third round tomorrow, hopefully. I'm tired of writing everything back. (Should've wrote my choice on the damn computer )
Nice post. Well thought out. Looking forward to the next 2 rounds!

Habs are going to get 3 very good young players with their first 3 picks.
