I think #18 is a place where trading up or down 3 or 4 spots won't make a big difference. So if you trade up, it should be into the top-12 or so.

Monahan, Shinkaruk (does he play C?) and maybe Lindholm (big maybe). The next centers after those are probably Wennberg, Lazar, Gauthier?
I think that Lindholm has shown way too much to fall outside of the top 5, he'd probably be taken 6th at the lowest - even if the Wings moved up to 7th, I think that the Flames would snatch him without giving it a second thought.

Still, the Wings would certainly have some tough decisions to make as far as BPA, anything from choosing to fill the position of need at center, to restocking the cupboards with another flashy Russian goal scorer, to choosing a defenseman that can play with both a solid/elite offensive and defensive game.
