Young D-Men take time, so it`s certainly possible young Myers rebounds, but when your drafting 1st overall, that`s a big risk to take on.
Add in, that in my opinion, the differance from 1 to 5 is huge.
For Myers, your right and wrong. Theses last two years have been kind of a question mark. At times he's looked brilliant. At times he's looked lost. I wouldn't say he's never looked like a number 1, because at times he has. He's just been super inconstant. I still think with age he'll be a top defensemen in the NHL. But that's just my opinion. I guess it would just matter if the GM for the Aves feels like Myers is a future star or not.
