I said it before, try and trade him first to save one of the buyouts. If he refuses to go, then buy him out. You don't know until you try, so we should try to see what teams would like his veteran presence at the cost of his contract. Buffalo rings a bell. Florida/Edmonton and similar teams like that seem like somewhat good fits. Maybe even Nashivlle.
It's pretty obvious that Homer would try to trade him first.

Also, doesn't he have to be placed on waivers first before we buy him out? Maybe we'll get lucky, and someone will pluck him off waivers beforehand and won't have to amnesty him. I know for regular buy-outs, the player has to clear waivers beforehand, but I don't recall if that's the case for amnesty buy-outs (but I think it is)
