Hartford pretty much became indifferent and disgruntled. They didn't reject the Rangers, they rejected hockey.

Those in CT who are fans are mostly Ranger fans. In my experience the biggest gap bw NY and BOS popularity in CT is the NHL with the Rangers having the clear edge.
